Why Chem-Dry Carpet Cleaning Companies Are Expanding In Key Illinois, Colorado, Texas Markets

Chem-Dry carpet cleaning companies strengthen hold on important demographics

Chem-Dry’s exceptional employees and equipment are two main reasons why our franchisees can expand their franchise bases.

Chem-Dry, with more than 3,500 units, is the world?s largest carpet cleaning company. But we?re still striving to expand to new areas and strengthen our position in existing ones.

Recently, three of the system?s franchise owners announced expansions of their franchises. Two bought additional licenses in the key areas around Durango, Colo., and Austin, Texas. A third illustrates the ?pay-it-forward? philosophy of Chem-Dry by buying a new franchise in another state and installing his longtime lead technician as its general manager.

Our ?pay it forward? franchisee is Ishmael Acquah, a native of Ghana who owns three Chem-Dry licenses covering the Orlando and St. Augustine, Fla., areas.

Ishmael?s longtime lead tech in Orlando, Joel Figuera, wanted to move back to his hometown of Chicago but didn?t know what he would do for work. So Ishmael, realizing a business opportunity and a chance to help a friend, bought a Chem-Dry license on the potentially lucrative north side of Chicago, covering parts of Cook and DuPage counties. Joel opened Magnificent Chem-Dry there May 1.

?He has been faithful to me for all these years,? Ishmael says. ?We will make money, and he will make money.?

The other expansions:
Isais Lopez, who has owned Chem-Dry of the Southwest in Durango, Colo., for 15 years, recently bought a second license for his area, which covers La Plata, Archuleta, Montezuma, Dolores and San Juan counties. Lopez said he wanted to lock any competitors out as his area?s population grew. ?Chem-Dry has a real good name nationwide,? Isais says. ?I think they have the best products to work with, the best research. It?s the best carpet cleaning franchise you can be affiliated with.?
Kenny and Tracy Meek have owned Chem-Dry of Georgetown, Texas, for eight years and recently purchased two additional licenses for Williamson and Burnet counties in addition to their existing two. Again, rapid population growth in the Austin area and a desire to seize the opportunity from competitors were the main factors. ?We just felt like it was a good move to keep anybody else from coming in,? Kenny Meek says. ?We’re really dedicated to our customers and give them a really good quality product. Everybody knows that.?

Well, maybe not everybody. We still need to spread the word about Chem-Dry?s natural, healthy method of cleaning carpet and other surfaces, especially east of the

Ishmael Acquah.

Mississippi, where we have plenty of target markets in mind. Thousands of people like Ishmael, Isais and the Meeks have already built huge successes out of their Chem-Dry franchises. It?s a remarkably low-investment franchise with huge growth potential in a market ripe for a top-notch cleaning franchise.
